EVERYONE IS WELCOME to attend a Parish Mission at St. Patrick Church, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg on Sunday, October 12th thru Wednesday, October 15th, 2014 beginning at 7:00 p.m. each evening conducted by Bill Wegner, from Good News International Catholic lay ministry. The topics will be as follows:
Sunday: Our Call to Holiness
Monday: The Challenge of Jesus
Tuesday: Our Call to Reconcile
Wednesday: Questions of Jesus
Special sessions at 9:00 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday, and Wednesday after the 9:00 a.m. School Mass.
Refreshments will be served after the 7:00 p.m. sessions.
Good News International teaches the good news of God’s unconditional love in dioceses and parishes throughout the world by conducting missions, seminars, retreats and conferences centered on personal conversion, spiritual transformation and missionary outreach. Promote the formation of a deeper spirituality centered in prayer, the sacraments and the Church community. Encourage direct personal involvement in the lives of those who are in need, including the poor, the sick, the dying, the homeless and the incarcerated.
The Sacrament of Confirmation will be administered here at St. Patrick Parish on Thursday, October 2nd at 7:00 pm with Bishop David A. Zubik, DD. Candidates and sponsors gather in cafeteria by 6:15 pm.
PRACTICE for candidates & sponsors – Sunday 28th - 2:00 pm
First Friday masses 7:00am & 8:30 am followed by a Sacred Heart Novena and breakfast at Suzie B’s immediately afterwards. Please join us.
Sponsors & Godparent Letter of Eligibility
Sponsors’ & Godparents’ letters, for upcoming Baptisms and Confirmations to be held at another Catholic Church, are provided by the parish for registered members, who have been members for at least six months, attend Mass, and are receiving the sacraments on a regular basis. Letters may be obtained by calling Lynn at 724.745.6560, ext 11.
