World Day for Consecrated Life

The annual 2010 World day for Consecrated Life will be marked in Dioceses nationwide this weekend. The theme is "Here I am, send me!" Let us remember those men & women who have responded to God’s call to serve as a consecrated religious on this day, especially, Fr. Jack, Fr. Joe, Fr. Jack N., & Deacon Joe Cerenzia. May their lives be blessed with God’s overwhelming grace. May God also bless our Church with others who answer His call and will dedicate their lives to His service with transformed minds and hearts that boldly say: "Here I am, Lord, send me!"

Souper Bowl of Caring

"Lord, even as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us to be mindful of those who are without a bowl of soup to eat." ~ Souper Bowl of Caring Founding Prayer

National in scope, yet local in impact, Souper Bowl of Caring works toward making the weekend of the big game an unprecedented time of giving and serving in our country. Local communities are affected both through youth involvement and money raised for charity. A national story is created by youth across the country simultaneously showing compassion and serving others. Youth from St. Patrick Parish will be at the exits of the church this weekend, with soup pots, collecting donations towards this worthy cause.

Scout Sunday

On the 100TH Anniversary of Scouting. The Boy Scouts of America designates the Sunday that falls before February 8th (Scouting Anniversary Day) as Scout Sunday, which is the primary date to recognize the contributions of young people and adults to Scouting. The Scouts who are chartered with St. Patrick Parish will be recognized at our 12:00 noon Mass this weekend, and several Cub Scouts will also receive "The Light of Christ" & "Parvuli Dei" (Children of God) Scouting Awards that they have earned.

A Job in Our Home

Kid's Resale Event & Vendor Show

With the great success of the spring and fall Kid’s Re-Sale and Vendor Shows last year, we have decided to host another event this year!

The Kid’s Re-Sale Event is held in the School Cafeteria and the Vendors are in the School Hallway. There is room for a total of 20 vendors!

We decided to have the event earlier in the year so that people can buy/sell Easter and Communion Outfits!!!

The event is Saturday February 13th from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Once again, setup for the Kid’s Re-Sale will be Friday evening.

Catholic Heart Workcamp

Our first Catholic Heart Workcamp meeting was conducted. If you missed it, you missed a lot! There are a limited number of openings for the August 1st thru 7th, 2010 work camp in Kearny, NJ. Call Nicole Guyton, 724.745.4130, for info. The next meeting will be in February.

Lenten Fish Fry

Our annual Lenten fish fry will be held every Friday beginning February 19th and ending March 26th.

Lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and dinner from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Takeouts will be available.
