Ladies of Charity
Mission Statement
"To Serve Rather Than Be Served"

The purpose of the Association is to imitate the Divine Savior in serving the needy, the sick, the elderly, youth and children and in bringing them corporal and spiritual nourishment. To provide spiritual growth for our members themselves. Our goal is for each member to present the compassionate love of Christ to others.

We meet four times a year, published in the parish bulletin, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Parish Center.

History of Organization
Since it's charter date in 2002, the Ladies of Charity of St. Patrick Church, Canonsburg, hold flower sales to garner funds that are used to help shut-ins, ill and elderly of the parish. Ladies of Charity also provide gifts at Christmas and Easter to the surrounding community nursing homes. Ladies of Charity also provide respite visits for those confined to their homes, and when requested, transportation (for shopping, Mass, etc.) for the elderly in the parish.

They also pray the rosary:
  1. on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month at the Greenery at 10:30 a.m.
  2. on the 4th Tuesday of the month at Townview at 2:00 p.m.
  3. the first Saturday of the month after the 7:30 a.m. Mass in the Church

Following the teachings of St Vincent De Paul, St Louise De Marillac,

and Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, the Ladies of Charity motto is:

To Serve Rather than to be Served.”
